Alexis Mabille Feature at Music & Men’s Fashion Week 2012

The French Couturier who showed for The Inaugural Women’s Fashion Week 2011 was the only designer for the event in October 2011 to return to Marina Bay Sands Singapore for Men’s Fashion Week 2012. Well received for his animal prints gowns, use of fur and feathers and cuts that brings out the women’s silhouette like figure, Mr Alexis Mabille showcased his view on what Menswear should be like.  The hall for Men’s Fashion Week 2012 on the fourth day had the ladies really excited as models strutted down the runway in Men’s Underwear and the Preta-porter Collection of the Frenchman’s design. The brand known as : L’HOM d’Alexis Mabille was one that had a easy on the eye gentlemanly charm while not missing out on the aspect of fun. The one time Christian Dior and Yves Saint Laurent designer has now gained international recognition with his gorgeous gowns, well cut suits and off course his trademark mega watt smile and bowtie.

Day 4 was a huge success as the halls were packed with so many people that hundreds had to stand to watch the shows. Nobody’s complaining thou as show after show was classic , exciting and breath taking. I will update with more photos of the runway shows next week with features on each but for the moment I will concentrate on the celebrity performances.

Eli T,BIE KPN and Royal Pirates all took turns to hype up the crowds with their energetic numbers.

Eli who is Singaporean and HMV’s Artiste of the month for April is multi talented who can play the flute, oboe and saxophone. He is well sort after by international artistes for his songs and his performance is upbeat and the tunes catchy. He is also nominated as “Best Solo Artist” & “Best Singer/Songwriter”. One of the best musical talents to come from our little sunny island for sure. His debut album – Revolt is flying off the racks in sales. Do grab a copy while it’s still available. His appearance with his blond hair and sleak attire will definitely set many a girl’s hearts racing. Definitely, an artiste I will be keeping my eye on.

Bie Kpn who was born in Thailand is making waves in the Chinese Pop Scene . Although he was sick and had just visited the doctors hours before the show, Kpn still came on and wowed the audience with his dedication and energy as he did not want to disappoint his fans. What dedication to his craft. His rendition of the Taiwanese hit movie “You Are the Apple of My Eye”  was pretty touching. Just when you think he’s the soulful sort , he turns up the energy with his dance numbers.

Royal Pirates nearly rocked the house down with their rock versions of famous English and Korean Songs. They kicked things off with a bang with a powerful Rock version of Dj’s Got us falling in love again and than Super Junior’s Sorry Sorry. By than, the fans were already making their way from the platforms down to the area near the stage area. There were screaming and crying fans as the videographers pan thru the sea of fans.
