Victoria & Albert Museum ,London Visit

Visiting the Victoria and Albert Museum was perhaps the first thing on the list when visiting London, England in September 2011.

We packed our schedules with photoshoots and visiting branded fashion boutiques so V&A was only possible on the last day.  Situated in South Kensington on the London Underground, it was rather confusing to get there for a tourist as we had to switch trains from our hotel in Green Park. The stations towards V&A was very rustic and traditional. Very colonial and classy…… the underground passage way leading to V&A was made of red bricks and straight out of a Harry Potter movie. Abit gloomy but the history soaked in its walls ……  the V&A museum entrance was underground…. well one of them at least . Full of sculptures, paintings, traditional costumes and jewellery , glassware, architecture , furnishings etc was super eye opening.

Coming from a country whereby culture and arts is not well documented, the V&A was THE place to visit. We could really spend the entire day soaking in the tradition and history. The ornaments of time long gone….. sculptures so grand yet lively …… yet rooms recreated to tell us how life was back than……. I wanna go back again….. soon ….hopefully……

Bought a couple of books from the V&A store….. the souveneirs there are wonderful as well…. makes you wanna buy the whole shop…. arghh….. gotta save more money for my next London visit……

V&A ……. a great source of inspiration for me….. everytime i feel dishearten…. I just need to whip out my Iphone and look at the pictures I took of the masterpieces while there and I will be ready to go again…… V&A…… I will be back !!!
