FEP European Professional Photographer of the Year Awards 2011 in Brussels, Belgium

Really honored to be declared the Golden Camera Winner in FEP ( Federation of European Photographers ) European Professional Photographer Award 2011 International Photographer category . I was invited to Brussels Belgium to be at the Prize Presentation Ceremony at the Silken Berlaymont where the Exhibition would be held from Nov 2011 till Feb 2012 at the Zoom Gallery. Meet alot of accomplished photographers and honored to be in their presence . Will be featuring them in this blog in time to come.

Was housed in a part of Brussels very near to the European Union Headquarters. Very interesting area where the Architecture was steeped in tradition and culture. The Justification Place where the court hearings are done was especially awe inspiring. The building was so huge that I felt like an ant next to it. The sculptures were 2,3 stories tall and done in so much detail that you can sense the drapery of the Roman Greeko figures dancing in the breeze.

The temperature there was a chilling 3 to 6 degrees Celsisus the 3 days I was there. A drastic change for those so used to the 30 odd Degrees Celsius temperture of Sunny Island Singapore. Be sure to bring a set of gloves, scarf for your neck and some mosturiser for the skin. Do bear in mind this is a largely French speaking country although the City Dwellers do speak English so communications is not a big problem. The people here are warm and friendly where ever I went ….. from the photographers to models and Makeup Artists….. it was indeed a wonderful experience. Did not travel that much due to Jet-Lag and the short duration but it was super fun to be walking around a city that has so much diversity and a very romantic charm …….

Will definitely want to come back again soon …….

Do check out the FEP website below for more works of the many wonderful photographers I met in my travels there.
