Jericho wins Professional Photographer of the Year Awards 2011 ( High Fashion Category )

We at Megalomaniac Euphoria is glad to announce that our in house photographer has won first prize in the High Fashion Category for the Professional Photographer of the Year ( PPOTY ) Awards 2011.

The PPOTY awards night will be held in London on 29 March 2012 , where a winner and a runner-up of each category will be announced – plus there will be a little surprise award on the night! The event will be held at The Printspace , 74 Kingsland Road, London E28DL from 7 pm – 930pm.

Participants had the option to submit their images to 13 different categories: High Fashion, Street Photography, The Wild World, Commercial Clients, In The Studio, On Location, Sporting Action, Reportage Weddings, Still Life, Student of the Year, Editorial News, Breaking the Mould and The Portfolio Award. The competition is organized by the Professional Photographer Magazine and had more than 6,300 entries entered.

The Professional Photographer of the Year 2011 competition is sponsored by: Sigma, Chaudigital, Amazing Internet, Olympus, Morgan Richardson Insurance, Hasselblad, Lightblue, Fixation, Hahnemuhle and Focal Press.

2011 has been an awesome year for us and we hope everyone will continue to support us thru 2012. Thank you and have an awesome day ahead.

Jericho Soh Featured in Noise Singapore Exhibition

We at Megalomaniac Euphoria are proud that our residential Photographer Jericho Jeri Soh will be featured at the Noise Singapore 2012 Exhibition at Ion Orchard B4 from Feb 16th to Mar 4th 2012 . Do drop by and take a look at ” Longing” and “Obsession” which will be exhibited during this period.Great thanks to Noise Singapore for giving us the chance to be seen at Singapore’s Iconic Shopping Centre.

Stephane Rolland Showcase @ Women’s Fashion Week 2011 Haute Couture Week

 

 

Stephane Rolland is a Couturier who understands world culture as he spent his childhood in Southern France, Argentina , Paraguay and the West Indies.He was born into a family of artists,painters,sculptors,photographers and architects but definitely the first Fashion Designer.

He later went on to study Fashion in Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture. At age 20, he started working in Balenciaga and was promoted to the position of Creative Director of Men’s Wear and International licenses which he stayed at until  the age of 24 when he started his own Pret- a Porter company. 6 years later,Jean Louis Scherrer appointed Stephane Rolland to become the artistic manager of his Haute Couture Fashion House which Rolland occupied for the next 10 years. Rolland has since opened his own couture house in 2007 and was even invited to exhibit his works in the Victoria & Albert Museum in London in 2010.

Stephane Rolland is also an award winning costume designer, winning the prestigious Moliere Awards and becoming an official partner for the Cannes Film Festival.

Rolland is also someone who believes in contrast likes the relationship between the ying and yang. The Masculine is balanced by a touch of the Feminine ……. striking the right balance. Some of his muses includes Cate Balnchett, Maria Felix, Martha Graham, Carmen Dell’Orefice ,Helena Rubinstein and Sheikha Mozah of Qatar.

His Fall/Winter collection for 2011 is a tribute to Asia….. Why ? Why not let’s leave them to you to decide and decipher ……..

Women’s Fashion Week 2011 Singapore – Haute Couture Showcase !!!

 

Women’s Fashion Week 2011 Singapore held at Marina Bay Sands was a star-studded affair with  8 of the best couturiers and their collections on display. The set design was extravagant and reminds one of  a European  courtyard at it’s romantic best. The sweet fragrance of flowers in full bloom also lingers in the air while the trees takes on different shades everyday as the “seasons” changes .

A first outside Paris , the Haute Couture showcase spotlights the talents of Maxime Simoens , Gustavo Lins, Eymeric Francois , Christophe Josse , Dominique Sirop , Alexis Mabille , Anne Valerie Hash and Stephane Rolland from the 27^th to 30 October 2011 . The opening night Gala also showcased Singaporean designers Thomas Wee, Ashley Isham and Frederick Lee.

The Haute Couture gowns on show were of such intricate craftsmanship that it is worthy of monarchial grandeur.  The show seems to spare no expense in celebrating the individuality and yet romantic side of the modern woman.
