MCM ( Mode Creation Munich ) closes for Men’s Fashion Week 2012

The final day of Men’s Fashion Week 2012 was one greatly anticipated by many as THE show to be at. MCM ( Mode Creation Munich ) ended a week’s worth of great fashion on and off the runway, exciting performances by Korean,Japanese, Thai and Singaporean artistes and beautiful people all round. The most sort after ticket of the entire fashion week held at Marina Bay Sands did not disappoint. The luxury brand that originated from Germany in 1976 as Michael Cromer Munich staged not One, not Two but Three exciting shows that were energetic and relevant. Street Dancers, sleek motorized scooters, male models baring their well chiseled torsos all but wowed the fashionistas in audience. Singaporean’s most prominent musical export in recent years Eli T, Thai Superstar Bie Kpn turn up the volume with their hi octave performances. Appearances by Hong Kong Celebrities like Ron Ng and Shawn Yue only made the event a more starstudded event. Korean-American Rock group Royal Pirates who had performed the night before were also present to watch the show. Danniel Henney – a American Actor and Model of  ( My name is Kim Sam Soon fame ) was all smiles throughout posing for fans warming their night with his personality. Local dance group Freekzy Nutz also entertained with their original choreography and routines. Korean Actor Sung Hoon took to the runway and fans went crazy when he came out for the final walk with other male models baring their torsos. It was the biggest night of MFW 2012 and Frank Cintamani ( The Festival Chairman )has made it clear that 2013 will be even better and I really can’t wait for MFW next year!

Women’s Fashion Week 2011 Singapore – Haute Couture Showcase !!!

 

Women’s Fashion Week 2011 Singapore held at Marina Bay Sands was a star-studded affair with  8 of the best couturiers and their collections on display. The set design was extravagant and reminds one of  a European  courtyard at it’s romantic best. The sweet fragrance of flowers in full bloom also lingers in the air while the trees takes on different shades everyday as the “seasons” changes .

A first outside Paris , the Haute Couture showcase spotlights the talents of Maxime Simoens , Gustavo Lins, Eymeric Francois , Christophe Josse , Dominique Sirop , Alexis Mabille , Anne Valerie Hash and Stephane Rolland from the 27th to 30 October 2011 . The opening night Gala also showcased Singaporean designers Thomas Wee, Ashley Isham and Frederick Lee.

The Haute Couture gowns on show were of such intricate craftsmanship that it is worthy of monarchial grandeur.  The show seems to spare no expense in celebrating the individuality and yet romantic side of the modern woman.
