TOUCH – Let’s Walk together ~~~

TOUCH is back !!! The Original Undeniable Charismatic Homme is back with their new Digital Single – Let’s Walk together.

A huge image overhaul from the days of their last album ( Rocking The Club ) where they were darker, edgier and their dance moves slick and explosive. The new TOUCH is perhaps gaining ground with the revamp as their fanbase seem to have exploded overnight.

I was their photographer during its two visits to Singapore in 2011 and I have seen the kind of hardwork the boys put in. They were friendly and fun loving and always trying their best to top themselves. They deserve more recognition and the common vibe online is that they were not getting as much exposure as they deserve. The talent within the group and the excitement they have for performing is contagious. I was about to give up on photography when I saw their passion and it made me rekindle my own fire for photography.

 

The Original group was made up of 7 members – Hanjun, Junyong, YoungHun,SungYong,SunWoong,MinSeok and Dabin. Minseok and Dabin left the group due to creative differences and health issues soon after the release of their debut album. Leader Hanjun left the group in late 2011 after initial promotion of 2nd album Rocking the Club and was replaced by Jae Wok , surprising everyone with the change during their tour of Thailand. Lead Vocalist Junyong and Rapper Younghun left in 2012 due to national service and family issues respectively. Choel Min and Kanghyun than joined the group , taking over the respective roles.

While some fans will have their favourites and be disappointed at the departure at certain group members, there is no denying that the spirit of the group is still there. As hardworking as ever and always trying to break new ground. They have moved from Rookies to Fashion Idols to Dark Biker type and finally to the current cutesy innocent zeal. I will say the new image has a fresh appeal and they are doing a good job marketing them this time round. They are becoming like chameleons , forever changing and morphing….. giving the fans a surprise everytime they release an album. This current image is perhaps closer to their own character and you can see they are rather comfortable with it…. particularly SungYong and SunWoong.

Alexis Mabille Feature at Music & Men’s Fashion Week 2012

The French Couturier who showed for The Inaugural Women’s Fashion Week 2011 was the only designer for the event in October 2011 to return to Marina Bay Sands Singapore for Men’s Fashion Week 2012. Well received for his animal prints gowns, use of fur and feathers and cuts that brings out the women’s silhouette like figure, Mr Alexis Mabille showcased his view on what Menswear should be like.  The hall for Men’s Fashion Week 2012 on the fourth day had the ladies really excited as models strutted down the runway in Men’s Underwear and the Preta-porter Collection of the Frenchman’s design. The brand known as : L’HOM d’Alexis Mabille was one that had a easy on the eye gentlemanly charm while not missing out on the aspect of fun. The one time Christian Dior and Yves Saint Laurent designer has now gained international recognition with his gorgeous gowns, well cut suits and off course his trademark mega watt smile and bowtie.

Songzio Feature @ Music & Men’s Fashion Week 2012

The Korean Designer is a graduate of ESMOD ((l’Ecole Supérieure des Arts et techniques de la Mode) is the first fashion school established in France; founded in 1841.) in 1997 and established the brand in 1992. Known for his graphical elements and slimming silhouettes , the Korean superbrand has garnered the attention of many a Korean or Japanese celebrity to the extend that his show in Men’s Fashion Week Singapore 2012 model lineup consisted of Korean supermodels, Lee Soo Hyuk, Kim Han Soo, Lee Tae Hwan, Heo Min Ho as well as Japanese actor, Tanihara Shosuke . His meticulous craftsmanship and cut had many a fashionista dreaming of wearing his designs.

The Autumn/Winter 2012 consisted of oversized trenchcoats , leather jackets and blazers that are off the standard dark tones but not too loud for those who prefer not to be too over the top. It seems to spell out what sophistication of European nobility while maintaining a cosmopolitan feel.

Nick Hart , the brainchild behind the Spencer Hart brand is a man of style. Always seen with his immaculate fitting suits and trademark shades, this is a designer of multiple talents. Influenced by music , a 9 year old Nick Hart was inspired to become a designer after seeing the flamboyant David Bowie perform onstage. The brand which was set up in 2002 has clients that includes David Beckham, Robbie Williams, Orlando Bloom, Alex Turner and Dominic West among many others. His attention to having the perfect cut for the individual body has made his suits a must for red carpet events like The Oscars . Nick is still passionate about music these days and was even spinning as a DJ at Men’s Fashion Week 2012 on the opening night. A Must have for all Men who likes something simple yet sophisticated.

MCM ( Mode Creation Munich ) closes for Men’s Fashion Week 2012

The final day of Men’s Fashion Week 2012 was one greatly anticipated by many as THE show to be at. MCM ( Mode Creation Munich ) ended a week’s worth of great fashion on and off the runway, exciting performances by Korean,Japanese, Thai and Singaporean artistes and beautiful people all round. The most sort after ticket of the entire fashion week held at Marina Bay Sands did not disappoint. The luxury brand that originated from Germany in 1976 as Michael Cromer Munich staged not One, not Two but Three exciting shows that were energetic and relevant. Street Dancers, sleek motorized scooters, male models baring their well chiseled torsos all but wowed the fashionistas in audience. Singaporean’s most prominent musical export in recent years Eli T, Thai Superstar Bie Kpn turn up the volume with their hi octave performances. Appearances by Hong Kong Celebrities like Ron Ng and Shawn Yue only made the event a more starstudded event. Korean-American Rock group Royal Pirates who had performed the night before were also present to watch the show. Danniel Henney – a American Actor and Model of  ( My name is Kim Sam Soon fame ) was all smiles throughout posing for fans warming their night with his personality. Local dance group Freekzy Nutz also entertained with their original choreography and routines. Korean Actor Sung Hoon took to the runway and fans went crazy when he came out for the final walk with other male models baring their torsos. It was the biggest night of MFW 2012 and Frank Cintamani ( The Festival Chairman )has made it clear that 2013 will be even better and I really can’t wait for MFW next year!

Yuna Ito Feature at Music & Men’s Fashion Week 2012

JPop Singer/Songwriter and Actress Yuna Ito’s appearance at the Men’s Fashion Week 2012 Japan Night was greeted with much anticipation. After hearing her rendition of Aerosmith’s I dun wanna miss a thing, I admit I was captivated be her powerful vocals, but hearing her perform live as another experience all together. The experience was like seeing the angels descend onto Earth to soothe your pain with her voice. The born in America Singer even sang Anata ga Iru Kagiri: A world to believe in ( a duet she sang with Celine Dion ) all by herself.It was an excellent way to end the night as all the tiredness seem to have just melted away despite having to work super long hours and little sleep during the last 3 days for MFW 2012. Her voice seems to hold that kind of power ……. Her onstage dress added to that celestial feel……  Looking forward to hearing her sing again ……..

Se7en Special Performance at Music & Men’s Fashion Week 2012

Korean Megastar Se7en got the Men’s Fashion Week Audience up on their feed and moving to the beat with his powerful vocals and energetic dance moves yesterday night at Marina Bay Sands. The final act of the night, the hunky singer impressed with his rendition of slow romantic tunes like When I can’t Sing and powerful dance tunes like Somebody else. The VVIP even graced the red carpet posing for photographers and fans on the opening night. The encore piece was one that had every soul in the room up off their chairs. The marriage of Music and Men’s Fashion in the second Edition of MFW in Singapore was a powerful one and had 2 or more sections of the seats were full of screaming fans with glow sticks and nameboards. When Se7en threw the towel he used into the crowd, the fan girls went wild. A preview of greater things to come next year as MFW will only get bigger and better says festival chairman Dr Frank Cintamani . The 2012 version is only into it’s second of five days and I already cannot wait for the 2013 edition. Many more acts to come and great design showcases. This MFW is off to a awesome start…… for fans of Fashion or Music…… this is one date you will wanna mark on your calender.
